Tashkent is the main economic and cultural centre of Central Asia. Cotton is the chief crop of the region in which it is situated. Wheat, rice, jute, vegetables, and melons are also grown, and silkworms are bred. The city lies in the most industrially developed part of Uzbekistan, and much of its industry is in some way connected with cotton—the manufacture of agricultural and textile machinery and of cotton textiles. It also has various food-processing industries for food lovers to explore.
Things to do in Tashkent – Go window shopping or actual shopping at famous Central Asian market, indulge your creative cravings in a pottery workshop and savour the art museums. A very famous half statue of India's late Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri is located here.

Day 2. Tashkent (21/05/2025)
Meeting with Guide in the hotel lobby, instructions, dinner.The Tour of Tashkent - the capital of Uzbekistan and the largest city in Central Asia.
Excursion to the new part of the city: Amir Temur Square, the Monument of Courage (monument of the earthquake in 1966), Independence Square, Alisher Navoi Theater Square.
Museum of Applied Arts of Uzbekistan, which is known since 1927, when the first exhibition of works of masters of Uzbekistan was organized there. The museum keeps more than 7,000 samples of Applied Arts: hand embroidery, skullcaps, jewelry, carpets and other handicraft items from the beginning of the 19th century to the present day.

The old city - here you can still find residential houses built in the late 19th century. This is the historical north-western part of Tashkent, where the city was located before the formation of the Turkestan Governorate-General (1865).
Hast Imam Complex (16th-20th centuries) - This is where the famous Koran of caliph Osman (7th century) is kept. In Hast-Imam you will visit Barak Khan Madrasah, Till Sheikh Mosque, Kaffal Shashi Mausoleum and Islamic Institute named after Imam al-Bukhari.
A visit to Akbar and Alisher Rakhimov's ceramics workshop is a unique place, a paradise in the old city part of Tashkent, where there is a completely different approach to the process, to the products and to the aesthetic design. There are no clichés and typical ceramics here, each bowl and plate is a work of art, and the house with a beautiful garden adds a special oriental flavor and charm to the workshop.
Abdulkasym Madrasah (XIX c) - One of the most interesting historical buildings in Tashkent is Abdulkasym Madrasah, it was built in 1850, but folk legends say that the "first stone" of this structure was laid already in the beginning of the XIX century. Nowadays there is a Center of Applied Arts in the building where every connoisseur of Oriental culture can visit Madrasah and watch the work of famous Uzbek craftsmen. Here you can find the works of skilled embroiderers: carpets, scarves, scarves, bags embroidered in the national style. Connoisseurs of metal works can buy various metal objects with intricate carvings and engravings.
At the end of excursion spare time and transfer to airport to the flight 22:35 - flight to Khiva (Urgench)

Day 3. Khiva (22/05/2026)
10:00 Meeting with guide, city tour with a visit to the architectural complex Ichan Kala (ancient city)
A visit to the museum-academy of Mamun tells about the history of the ancient Khorezm civilization. The museum is located in the building of the Khorezm Academy of Mamun, there are rare archaeological finds, manuscripts and the best ethnographic items.
13:00 - break for lunch.
Citadel Kunya Ark (16-17th century) - the residence of all Khiva rulers, Madrasah of Muhammad Minaret Kalta - Minar, Amin Khan (19th century) - the current hotel, Madrasah Muhammad- Rakhimkhan (bears the name of not only the Khan, but also the great poet of Khorezm Feruz ).
Juma - mosque and minaret (Friday mosque with stunning carved columns), Mausoleum of Said Alauddin. Mausoleum of Pahlavan Mahmud (14-18 centuries), Islamkhodzhi Minaret, Allakulikhan Caravanserai, Alpakulikhan Madrassah (1834-1835). Tash Palace - Khovli (19th century).
17:30 - return to the hotel or spare time
Day 4. Khiva (23/05/2025)
09:00 – Breakfast.
09:30 - Excursion to Nurullabay Palace,
Nurullabay Palace, the summer palace complex of the Khiva khans, built under Asfandiyar Khan, who ruled the Khiva Khanate from 1910 to 1918.
The palace, with its exceptional style and extravagant ornamentation, differs from other khan residences in Khiva. Several ceremonial halls of various shapes were placed in the palace, and among them was the throne room, decorated in the Russian Art Nouveau style. Many design elements of the palace were ordered by Asfandiyar Khan at the Imperial Porcelain Factory in St. Petersburg.
13:00 - break for lunch.
Visit to the one of the wood carvers' workshops and observe how works of art with ornaments are created from ordinary wood, where each curl has its own symbolism.
15:40 – Transfer to the railways station to the train Khiva - Bukhara.
Day 5. Bukhara (24/05/2025)

The city of Bukhara is a city of Oriental poetry and fairy tales, the romantic look of which attracts tourists from all over the world; it has also been known as the holiest city in Asia. Bukhara has about 300 mosques and 80 madrassas. Excursion to this magnificent city includes a tour of the Lyabi Hauz Ensemble, Nodir Khan Diwan Begi Madrassah, Nodir Devan Begi Honaka Madrassah, Magoki- Attari Mosque.
In Bukhara folk crafts have been developed since ancient times, here you can see many famous masters and craftsmen. Embroidery and carpet weaving occupy a special place in the handicraft art.
13:00 - break for lunch.
In the afternoon tour to Ark fortress, Bolo Hauz Mosque, Ismail Samani mausoleum and Chashma Ayub. We will visit the home studio of master Rakhmon Toshev - he will share with you the secrets of traditional embroidery "Suzanne"; usually women do it, but he inherited it from his grandmother and now passes his secrets to his family and students. Dinner at Rakhmon's house, when ere you can enjoy the amazing taste of traditional Bukhara pilaf. If desired, tourists can participate in a fascinating master class on cooking Bukhara pilaf together with the owner of the house.
17:30 - return to the hotel.

The workshop of jewelers and embroiderers - the oldest art of the East, was the famous Bukhara gold embroidery. Sewing with gold and silver threads is occupied by men. Silk or paper thread was tightly wrapped with the thinnest strip of gold or silver. The thread was then sewn with stitches usually to a colored velvet background.
12:00 – Bus transfer to Gijduvan Ceramics village.
13:00 – Lunch in the village with master class of national bread (making Lepeshkas in tandir) Around 17:00 – Arrival in Samarkand, transfer to hotel.

Ulugbek Observatory (15th century) - Scientific works of Ulugbek were created due to the unique observatory he built in Samarkand. The main stationary instrument was a giant quadrant placed inside a cylindrical building 48 meters in diameter (the remains of the foundation, or rather trenches from it, were found during archaeological research).
Day 8. Samarkand (27/05/2025)
09:00 – Breakfast.09:30 – Start of the excursion in Samarkand.
Tour to carpet and paper factories in Kongil village, ancient Afrosiab city
17:00 – Transfer to Tashkent by high-speed train. (time to be confirmed once train tickets are purchased)
19:43 – Arrival in Tashkent. Transfer to hotel.
Day 9. Tashkent (28/05/2025) – Trip to Charvaq Lake and mountains
09:00 – Breakfast.
09:30 – Set off to Charvaq lake and mountains (1,5 hours of drive).
Lake Charvak is a popular resort in Tashkent region and thousands of holiday makers from all over Uzbekistan and neighbouring countries visit the reservoir. The dam construction was started in 1964 and completed in 1970. About 150 archaeological sites were submerged under water when the reservoir was filled up. These sites were investigated by the Institute of History and Archaeology of Uzbekistan before the dam was constructed

Walks to Petroglyphs and sightseeing around the lake 15:00 – Drive back to Tashkent
